I was there, I saw it all!

So this dog walks into a telegraph office and says "I want to send a wire to someone" and the telegraph man says "ok what do you want it to say" and so the dog says "I want it to read woof woof woof woof woof". After writing it all down the telegraph guy says to the dog "you know, for an extra 50 cents you could add another woof in there". And the dog kind of looks at him and says "but then it wouldn't make any sense".
